Sue's Tao for the Soul
Our soul resides in our body and is the ‘real you’. We have all suffered traumas in our life on our pathway and, although it seems a difficult road at times, we gain strength from every bad thing that happens to us and is a way of paying back karma.

In this day and age, work seems to take first, second and last place in our lives. We have to work hard to find time for our leisure activities and even this can prove stressful. We all need to work but, in this myriad of stress, do not lose sight of the real you. If need be, rise a little earlier in the morning or switch off the TV in the evening (even half an hour will make a difference) and over the weeks/months will be self-evident in your life. Learn to relax – take classes in yoga, Tai Chi or, if it is not possible to make a class, then buy a book and learn this way.

Letting go of past traumas may be easier said than done but do not lose sight of the inner meaning, we are all interacting with each other on a karmic level (karma is the law of cause and effect and states that for every action there is a reaction). Learn to breathe deeply and calmly allowing the mind to let go. Try to meditate so that you can pinpoint what is genuine and important in your life and work to make it happen. Take courses, read, and learn to bring what is real and meaningful into your life.

The Universe responds to symbolic acts by allowing like-for-like energy to come into your life. If you truly let go of something the space revealed will soon be filled with a symbolic likeness of what is needed in your life. There is a saying that states, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”. We all think that we are ready now and that things should happen in our life now. However, the greater concept is that things happen when they are meant to be. We therefore need to ready ourselves to make that time come quicker. The ancient Indian Vedas state that man was not meant to work like an ass but to be a spiritual being; after all, material things do not bring long-term happiness only the search for more. Many illnesses are caused by our continual need to rush here and there and live lives that have no real meaning.

Learn to let go and become the spiritual being that you truly are.
